Paine College does not provide temporary housing.
NOTE: STUDENTS WHO REPORT TO CAMPUS BEFORE THE SPECIFIED DATE AND TIME SHOULD SECURE ACCOMMODATIONS AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.
CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT
Acceptance of a key and/or occupancy of a room in a Residence Hall represent a contractual agreement between the Student and Paine College. Therefore, the student is responsible for the care of the property, room, guests and residence hall facilities. Students cannot be released from the financial responsibilities outlined in the residence hall contract during the academic year except for those reasons identified in the housing contract.
All Students residing in the Residence Halls must be registered for classes at Paine College. Students, who withdraw from all classes before the end of the semester or refuse to attend classes on a regular basis, may be required to move out of the residence hall immediately.
RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES
Paine College’s residence halls are ALCOHOL, DRUG, AND SMOKE FREE. Consumption of alcohol, use of drugs, or use of cigarettes inside of the residence halls is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this policy will result in your immediate dismissal from campus.
There are eight residence halls on Paine College’s campus. These halls have the capacity to house approximately 550 students. Each lobby is furnished with a color television and basic cable. All rooms have telephone service and Internet access; however, residents must provide telephones and Ethernet cables to properly use these amenities. All residence halls are air-conditioned and have a central coin operated laundry room.
VISITATION
Paine College has a visitation policy for our residence halls whereby visitors of the opposite sex may visit in the lobby areas ONLY. Visitation hours for all residence halls are 12:00 noon- 12 midnight, Sunday thru Thursday , and 12:00 noon – 1:00 am Friday and Saturday. Doors will be locked at the end of the visitation period. All students who need to gain entrance to their Residence Hall after the lock up hours may call or report to the campus safety office.
