Member Participation (25 points)

Measures engagement of chapter members in activities, events, and initiatives that advance the mission of NAI.


Please use the following guide to assign points for Member Participation. 
  • (21–25 pts): Outstanding engagement with broad participation across membership; strong evidence of member retention, active involvement, and leadership roles.
  • (16–20 pts): High participation levels with a variety of events and initiatives demonstrating consistent member engagement.
  • (11–15 pts): Adequate participation with regular chapter activities that include a good portion of members.
  • (6–10 pts): Limited engagement with few events or low member involvement.
  • (1–5 pts): Minimal or negligible participation in chapter activities.

Chapter Support (25 points)

Evaluates the chapter’s structure, administrative support, institutional backing, and contribution to institutional innovation focus.


Please use the following guide to assign points for Chapter Support. 
  • (21–25 pts): Chapter demonstrates strong institutional support (leadership involvement, funding, resources), clear governance, and impactful programming.
  • (16–20 pts): Solid support, with regular leadership engagement and resources for key initiatives.
  • (11–15 pts): Adequate support with basic chapter structure and some sustained activities.
  • (6–10 pts): Limited support with inconsistent leadership engagement or unclear structure.
  • (1–5 pts): Minimal support without evidence of administrative involvement or sustainability.

Collaboration (25 points)

Assesses the extent of collaboration with internal and external partners (e.g., institutions, other NAI chapters, community or industry partners).


Please use the following guide to assign points for Collaboration. 
  • (21–25 pts): Demonstrates broad, effective partnerships with significant impact; evidence of sustained collaboration leading to tangible outcomes.
  • (16–20 pts): Strong partnership activity with clear benefits to chapter programming and reach.
  • (11–15 pts): Some collaborative efforts with positive results.
  • (6–10 pts): Limited collaboration; few external engagements or partnership outcomes.
  • (1–5 pts): Minimal or no documented collaboration.

Marketing & Outreach (25 points)

Looks at how effectively the chapter promotes its activities, builds visibility, and communicates impact to stakeholders and broader audiences.


Please use the following guide to assign points for Marketing & Outreach. 
  • (21–25 pts): Highly effective marketing strategy; broad visibility with innovative outreach (social media, press, publications).
  • (16–20 pts): Strong visibility efforts that consistently raise awareness.
  • (11–15 pts): Adequate outreach with regular updates or events communicated to audiences.
  • (6–10 pts): Limited outreach; inconsistent messaging or visibility.
  • (1–5 pts): Minimal or absent outreach.
