2019-2020 | STG Young Ambassadors

STG Young Ambassadors is a group of 12 artistic individuals who represent STG in the Seattle arts community and get a behind-the-scenes experience at STG in preparation for careers in the arts. The STG Young Ambassadors mission is to diversify the pool of applicants for arts industry jobs by providing equitable access to work experience.  

Who can apply: 
15-20 year olds interested in the arts 
**Note: must be in 10th grade or higher 

Program Dates: 
October 23rd, 2019 - July 31st, 2020  

As an STG Young Ambassador you will: 
- Connect with professionals and artists in the Seattle arts community 
-Gain knowledge of STG Education and Community programs 
-Participate in events that have strong themes of social justice and activism 
-Represent STG at fairs, festivals, teen nights and shows  
-Access STG Internships  
-Assist at various STG events  
-Gain a better understanding of how a large arts organization operates 
-Connect with other young leaders in the arts  
-Organize an event in partnership with Nights at the Neptune 
-Provide input for STG campaigns, programs and events 
-Gain leadership skills necessary to navigate the arts and professional world 

STG will provide: 
-$500 Work Stipend OR Volunteer Hours 
-$50 Travel Stipend 
-Tickets to STG shows upon availability  
-Food for meetings provided by Starbucks 
-Recommendation Letters 

Deadline to Apply: September 29th, 2019
First Round Applicants Notified: October 2nd, 2019 
Interviews: October 4th-11th, 2019
Final Applicants Chosen: October 15th, 2019

Group Events: 
Must attend at least 5 group events

DEC: Taylor Mac Holiday Sauce: Friday, December 19, 7:30-10:30pm 
FEB: Black Bois: Friday, February 14, 7-10pm 
MAR: More Music @The Moore: Friday, March 13, 7-10pm 
APR: Play That Goes Wrong (Family Event): Wednesday, April 22, 7-10:30pm 
*MAY: STG DOORS Fundraiser, Saturday, May 2, 3:30-10pm 
*JUNE: Youth Mixer date TBA 


In addition to meetings and group events you will be expected to provide:  
-20 hours of support for Education and Community Programs events
