Military families deserve the same access as civilian families to California’s CalFresh Program. CalFresh, federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), is one of the most effective anti-hunger programs available. CalFresh is designed for civilian and military families alike, but while civilians across the US rely on SNAP, military families face additional barriers and are ineligible for the program.
