Please complete all information listed below and return this application with a Cashiers Check or Money Order only, payable to Paine College for $100.00. No personal checks will be accepted. This NON-REFUNDABLE fee must be paid when the application is submitted. Mail ALL payments to the Paine College Business Office.

Hall assignments are made based on classification and a first come, first served basis only after the student has been accepted for enrollment. Residence hall space is limited, so space may not be available for all students who apply. Summer Semester Application fee: $50.00. There is a late application fee of $25.00 for all semesters.

PLEASE NOTE:

A non-refundable application fee of $25.00 in the form of cash, money order, or certified checks made payable to Paine College. No personal checks will be accepted.

Students must pay a $250.00 Resident Life confirmation deposit before receiving a room assignment. The $250.00 will be refunded if request is made by July 15 (fall) by December 15 (spring). All confirmation deposits received after these dates are nonrefundable.

NOTE: Students Who report to campus before the specified date and time should SECURE ACCOMMODATIONS AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.

CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT

Acceptance of a key and/or occupancy of a room in a residence hall represents a contractual agreement between the student and Paine College. Therefore, the student is responsible for caring for the property, room, guests, and residence hall facilities. Students cannot be released from the financial responsibilities outlined in the residence hall contract during the academic year except for those reasons identified in the housing contract.

To fully secure housing, all applicants must submit a housing application, pay the $25 housing application fee, and pay the $250 housing deposit. The application fee is nonrefundable, and the housing deposit is refundable only if requested by email before the deadline specified below. All students residing in the residence halls must be registered for classes full-time at Paine College. Students who withdraw from all courses before the end of the semester or refuse to attend classes regularly may be required to vacate the residence hall immediately.

RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES

Paine College’s residence halls are ALCOHOL, DRUG, AND SMOKE FREE. Consumption of alcohol, use of drugs, or use of cigarettes (including tobacco products and e-cigarettes) inside of the residence halls is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this policy will result in disciplinary action.

There are six residence halls currently online on Paine College’s campus. Each lobby is furnished with a color television. All rooms have internet access. All residence halls are air-conditioned and have laundry appliances to do laundry free of charge. All residence halls have a computer lab for studying or completing homework.

VISITATION

Paine College currently has suspended all residence hall visitation privileges due to the pandemic.
