Tours

Tours at the Hammer Museum are led by Hammer Student Educators. All tours are conducted Tuesday thru Friday during open hours, and last between 45 - 60 minutes. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time of your tour. Refer to http://www.hammer.ucla.edu for listings of current exhibition schedules as well as information on museum programs.

Please choose how you would like to conduct your tour. Note that docent tours are limited to 20 people, and you may not reserve more than 2 docents at a time due to space issues. Docent led tours are never guaranteed, especially for large groups. Tour requests must be received one month prior to the date of the tour. For example, we must receive your tour request by March 20th for an April 20th tour.

Groups must consist of no less than 10 persons, and no more than 40 persons.
All adult tours, of both the Museum as well as the Sculpture Garden, require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit. This amount covers up to 20 adult admission tickets. Each additional person after that must pay the regular admission price of $7/per person.

The Hammer Museum cannot hold your tour reservation until the deposit is received.

Student groups and nonprofit organizations are always free of charge.

Number of Chaperones We require that the student/chaperon ratio for school groups be as follows: 6:1 for grades 2-5; 10:1 for grades 6-9; and 15:1 for grades 10-12. Tours for children under the age of 7 are unavailable.
