STARS Training Credit for CDA Training

Successful Solutions Training in Child Development is a Washington STARS approved training organization.  As such, we are able to issue you Washington STARS credit for the CDA trainings that you complete.  There are 120 hours of training in the CDA Training, 118 of the hours are eligible for STARS credit.  There are 8 competency areas in the CDA training:

  1. Advancement of Physical and Intellectual Development (11 Hours)
  2. Commitment to Professionalism (23 hours)
  3. Effective Program Operation (15 hours)
  4. Enhancement of Social and Emotional Development (13 hours)
  5. Observing and Recording Progress and Behavior of Children (15 hours)
  6. Positive Relationships with Families (13 hours)
  7. Principles of Child Growth and Development (13 hours)
  8. Safe and Healthy Environment (17 hours)

When you have completed all of the training components in one competency area, submit a training evaluation form and we will record your completed training with the STARS Registry System and issue you a certificate of completion.  You can access a training evaluation form on Successful Solutions CDA Student Services Menu.

  • 13 hours STARS credit in Child Growth, Development and Learning

(all 11 trainings must be complete to receive STARS credit)

Safe and Healthy Environment
  • 17 hours STARS credit in Health, Safety & Nutrition

(all 14 trainings must be complete to receive STARS credit)
