The 2010 SIR Annual Scientific Meeting will focus on clinically meaningful topics with symposia on arterial, oncologic, venous and stroke interventions. In addition, SIR will highlight interventional radiologists’ role as the inventors of the very tools we use every day. In truth, we never say “no;” we take on the tough patients as we find solutions and invent devices.

To prove this, we will search the U.S. and European patent offices for filings made by our members. You can help by telling us if you have ever filed a patent or invented a device that is manufactured or if you know of any devices invented by fellow interventional radiologists. After verification, we will include these invention in our findings to be highlighted at the Annual Scientific Meeting March 13-18, 2010, in Tampa, FL.
